How we rank prices
This page sets out how the shop we recommend gets chosen, and what we will not do, ever.
Where this stands today
We are not yet connected to shop prices from Thailand’s major platforms, so no ranking of shops is happening at all — the suggested prices on product pages are not ranked and are not any shop’s price. This page is written in advance so that the rules are fixed while nobody stands to gain from them.
1. We compare the landed price, not the sticker price
The big number on a shop listing is usually not what you end up paying. Here is what we compare:
landed price = item price + shipping − discounts/codes that actually apply
A shop that is ฿50 cheaper but charges ฿200 more to ship is not the cheaper shop.
2. Seller rating counts, but it cannot turn dearer into cheaper
Shops with poor ratings or a habit of shipping incomplete orders get pushed down, because a low price on something that never arrives is not a low price. But we will always tell you which shop was cheaper and why we did not recommend it — not quietly hide it — so the decision stays yours.
3. Money cannot buy a position
The top spot always belongs to the genuinely cheapest landed price.
We earn commission when you buy through our link, and how much each shop pays us has no bearing on the ranking. If the shop that pays us less is cheaper, that is the one we recommend.
If there is ever a slot for a sponsor, all of this has to hold:
- It sits in its own area, clearly labelled “Sponsored”, kept apart from the ordinary results.
- The advertiser has to offer a landed price equal to or below the cheapest one already shown.
- This page gets updated to match reality first, not afterwards.
4. The compatibility data
We check socket, memory type, case clearance, power draw and much else against specs we collected ourselves, with unit tests covering every rule. Even so, spec sheets can be wrong, and makers change dimensions mid-model. Always confirm with the manufacturer or the shop before you buy.
